In the parched town of Liberal Kansas, a marshal's absence and marauding trail riders threaten the livelihood of local farmers. Amidst the chaos, Bat Masterson rides in to restore order and, with the help of his deputy, discovers a drought-resistant wheat variety. Determined to save the town, Bat must rally the farmers to stay and cultivate the land, while also helping to apprehend the local gang of outlaws.
