In the Australian Outback, a rugged sheep-farmer named John Woldring lives a solitary life until a mysterious and frightened woman appears at his doorstep one night, armed and desperate. As John reluctantly takes her in, he learns she's an Afghan refugee searching for her illegally immigrated relatives. Despite his initial reluctance, John agrees to help her find them, but soon they're pursued by ruthless human traffickers who seem to have unlimited resources and connections.
