Philippa Coulthard was born in Dallas, Texas, but her early years were spent in Brisbane, Australia, where she relocated at the tender age of four. It was during this formative period that she developed a passion for acting, a passion that would eventually propel her to pursue a career in the industry.
As a young girl, Philippa was determined to turn her passion into a profession, and at the age of 10, she convinced her parents to let her secure an agent. This marked the beginning of her journey as a professional actress, and she soon landed her first role in an Australian independent film called Unfinished Sky.
As she entered adulthood, Philippa made the bold decision to relocate to London and later Los Angeles in pursuit of her acting dreams. Her hard work and dedication paid off, as she landed a role in the horror film Annabelle: Creation, as well as a recurring role in the popular TV series The Catch, created by the renowned Shonda Rimes.
However, it was her breakout role in the BBC/Starz BAFTA-nominated mini-series Howard's End that truly cemented her status as a rising star. In this critically acclaimed adaptation of E.M. Forster's classic novel, Philippa played the lead role of Helen Schlegel, the sister of Margaret Schlegel, played by the talented Hayley Atwell. The mini-series was adapted by the Oscar-winning screenwriter Kenneth Lonnergan, and its success further solidified Philippa's position as a talented young actress.
Today, Philippa resides in South London with her friends and fellow actresses Charlotte Hope and Ria Zmitrowicz, where she continues to pursue her passion for acting and build a successful career in the entertainment industry.
