Humanoid cats must unite to safeguard their adopted planet against malevolent forces.
A group of refugees from the doomed planet Thundera, the Thundercats, escape just in time, only to face tragedy when their leader Jaga dies during their perilous journey to Third Earth. Led by Lion-O, the survivors crash-land on their new home, where they establish a stronghold and forge alliances, but must relentlessly battle against the malevolent forces of Mumm-Ra and the mutants.
