A former heavyweight champion boxer, Jerome Besson, struggles to accept his son Francis's decision to become a boxer in an underground fight club, known as the "arena", after coming out as gay. Francis's fight manager, Egypt, played by Carrie Cain Sparks, is a strong-willed and talented individual who helps her brother navigate the challenges of the fight world. Meanwhile, a rich artist and fight fan, Priscilla, becomes attracted to Francis, despite their racial differences, and Egypt must decide whether to allow their relationship to blossom.
