In 1988, Chris Bryson was found beaten and bloody on a Kansas City street, wearing only a dog collar and leash. He accused Bob Berdella, a local businessman, of holding him captive, raping, and torturing him for several days. Police arrested Berdella and found hundreds of Polaroid photographs, a torture log, and human remains in his home. Berdella had murdered six young men, whom he met at his shop, "Bob's Bizaare Bazaar", which sold dark and macabre artifacts.
