In 18th century England, Captain George Bryan "Beau" Brummell, a refined gentleman, is forced to leave the Army after insulting the Prince of Wales. However, this unexpected turn of events allows him to launch a smear campaign against the Prince, only to later become his trusted chief advisor as the Prince grows tired of sycophants surrounding him.
