Despite a brief setback in Germany, where the authorities initially banned the cars from driving through the country, the rally continued with creative solutions, including using double-decker transporters and coaches to ferry the cars and participants. The rally stopped in several cities, including Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Quebec City, Toronto, and Niagara Falls, before crossing the finish line in New York's Times Square.
