Trevor, a young and intelligent individual, is stuck in a rut. He's entangled in an unhealthy relationship with a self-destructive heroin addict and trapped in a mundane telemarketing job. He finds little comfort in Los Angeles' superficial party scene. His relationships with his two best friends, Andie and Jake, are also suffering due to boredom and discontent.
