In the midst of a trip to Los Angeles to help a friend pick out an engagement ring, a rugged Alaskan wilderness guide crosses paths with a sophisticated city girl from a wealthy family that owns a jewelry store. As they share a spontaneous date, the guide is suddenly summoned back to Alaska to help deal with a grizzly bear problem, leaving the city girl behind.
