Liar's Moon

In the summer after high school, Jack falls for Ginny, the banker's daughter, who's returning from boarding school and planning to attend Vassar. Despite her father's disapproval, they spend time together before Jack gets a job in the oil fields in Louisiana, where they can marry without parental consent. However, their happiness is short-lived as Ginny's father hires a private investigator to track them down, and she faces a difficult pregnancy and devastating health news. Meanwhile, Jack's mother has her own motivations, leaving the young couple to navigate a complex web of secrets and lies.
