Marius

In the port of Marseilles, a bar owner named César is aided by his 23-year-old son Marius, surrounded by a cast of colorful characters. Marius falls for Fanny, the daughter of a fishmonger, but his desire for adventure and the sea threatens to tear them apart. Meanwhile, Marius's father tries to guide him towards a responsible future, while Fanny must choose between her love for Marius and a proposal from a wealthy older man.
