Mary Stevens, M.D.

Mary Stevens, a determined woman, graduates from medical school and establishes her own practice, overcoming societal obstacles to build a reputation as a skilled doctor. Her friend Don Andrews, however, prioritizes his social life and neglects his practice, eventually marrying into a wealthy family and leading a life of luxury. As Mary's career flourishes, their friendship deteriorates due to jealousy and mistrust. Two years later, Mary and Don reunite, and they start an affair. When Mary becomes pregnant, she must choose between telling Don and raising the child alone. Tragedy strikes, and Mary's baby dies. In a poignant finale, Mary finds redemption by saving a child's life and regaining her confidence.
