In a post-apocalyptic world, 73 years after the Cyborg Wars, humans are enslaved and on the brink of extinction. A scientist injects a new DNA strain into a volunteer, potentially paving the way for human survival. However, the Cyborgs seek to eliminate this development and the woman and her baby are marked for termination. To escape, the mother takes a stolen Cyborg ship and travels back in time to 1980s East Africa, sacrificing herself to save her baby. Twenty years later, the Cyborg bounty hunter Nebula tracks down the now grown Alex, intent on terminating her.
