A young boy named Joey Cooper is desperate to join the prestigious Wilderness Club, but he's been rejected multiple times. Feeling embarrassed and ashamed, Joey decides to sneak away on a camping trip with the new gear his mother has bought him, hiding on the bus to avoid telling her the truth.
