After a car accident, Harumi Hagiwara forms a bond with her nurse Reiko Nishimura, and they decide to live together. But as Harumi recovers, she starts to notice strange occurrences and Reiko's behavior becomes increasingly erratic. As Reiko starts to refer to herself as "Mari", Harumi's fears grow, culminating in a shocking murder.
