A young boy named Bobby and his mom relocate from Toronto to a small town in Nova Scotia, leaving behind his father and baseball team. In his new town, Bobby faces bullying from the local kids, except for a kind girl named Jo, who befriends a lonely male moose living on an island. Jo devises a plan to capture a female moose and relocate her to keep the male company. With the help of their single parents, Eva and Lester, Bobby and Jo embark on a mission to execute Jo's plan.
