Famous singer Miyako Saijo and motorbiking artist Ichirô Aoye meet by chance in Kappazawa and form an unlikely friendship. However, their lives are disrupted when a paparazzo photographs them together and a scandal sheet publishes a salacious story, fabricating a romantic encounter. Ichirô decides to sue, hiring a questionable lawyer, Otokichi Hiruta, who is driven by a desire to prove his worth. The case becomes a battle for justice, as well as a chance for Hiruta to redeem himself and find his moral compass.
