A charismatic con artist proposes a talented picture framer as a deadly hitman.
Tom Ripley forms a lucrative partnership with an art forger, selling the forger's creations. However, his associate proposes an even riskier venture: murder. Tom suggests they hire a local picture framer, rumored to be terminally ill, to be the hitman.
