In the early 1890s, three brothers, Bob, Emmett, and Gray Dalton, seek revenge against the law after their brother Frank is murdered by an outlaw. Initially, they join their local sheriff's department, but after being cheated by the system, they turn to a life of crime, robbing trains and banks over the course of two years. In a bold attempt to outdo Jesse James, they plan to rob two banks simultaneously in October 1892, leading to a violent and chaotic outcome.
