A young boy named Mowgli grows up among wolves in the jungle, learning to survive alongside the animals. However, when a tiger named Shere Khan threatens his life, a black panther named Bagheera takes Mowgli to a nearby human village for his safety. Along the way, Mowgli encounters various obstacles, including a sly snake, a giant ape, and a laid-back bear who becomes his guide.
