Emjay Anthony was born on June 1, 2003, in Clearwater Beach, Florida, to Trisha and Michael Salazar, and began his career in the entertainment industry at a very young age.
At just four years old, Emjay was selected for a national commercial for Werther's Candy, marking the beginning of his modeling career. When he was five years old, his family relocated to California, where his parents were originally from, and he has been based there ever since.
Emjay has an older sister named Sage, who is ten years his senior, and the two siblings have a close relationship. After moving to California, Emjay began to focus more on his acting career, and at the age of six, he landed a role in the 2009 film "It's Complicated," starring Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin.
After making his screen debut in "It's Complicated," Emjay took a year and a half off to focus on his education, but he soon returned to acting, booking several national commercials and pilots, including "Applebaum" for CBS and "Rake" for Fox.
In addition to his work in film and television, Emjay has also appeared in several episodes of popular TV shows, including "Grey's Anatomy" and "The Mentalist." He has also worked on the comedy-drama "Chef," which was released in 2014 and stars Sofía Vergara and Jon Favreau.
When he's not working on a project, Emjay enjoys a variety of hobbies, including playing airsoft, riding his dirt bike and BMX bike with his father, and catching up on his schooling.
