A chance reunion brings two former lovers back together at a remote mining camp in Norway, where their paths converge in a bittersweet and unexpected twist of fate.

A young woman named Jenny enters a dance marathon to help her brother, who is in financial trouble, but her actions lead to a misunderstanding and she loses the man she loves. Desperate, she agrees to become a "picture bride" at a mining camp, only to discover she is being sent to marry the brother of her former love. Meanwhile, a rival suitor arrives at the camp, and the question becomes which brother will join a perilous polar expedition.
