Jack Regan, a rough-around-the-edges cop, uses unconventional methods to achieve results, much to the dismay of internal affairs officer Lewis. Meanwhile, Regan is having an affair with Lewis's young wife, Nancy, a policewoman. After a botched bank heist in London, Regan is stripped of his badge and imprisoned.
