A lone stranger, with nerves of steel and a sense of duty, must track down and eliminate a rogue hitman to settle a debt. With only a time and location to guide him, he arrives at a deserted diner in a dying town, where several potential targets await, including the sheriff. As he puts his life on the line to find the hitman, he becomes entangled in a dangerous game of cat and mouse, and his mission is further complicated by a romantic entanglement with a local woman.
