Ben Valentine, a lost and directionless individual, finds himself in trouble with the law in a small Victorian town. Mistaken for a famous AFL footballer, he is sentenced to 200 hours of community service, coaching the town's struggling football team. With the team's future and the town's beloved pie factory on the line, Ben begins to care about the community and works to turn the team around.
