A young woman, Alberta, flees her small town after losing money that doesn't belong to her and seeks refuge with her old babysitter, Celene, a dominatrix living in Seattle. Alberta finds a job at a supermarket and becomes intrigued by Celene's work, but things take a turn when she accidentally damages one of Celene's costumes. To make up for the mistake, Alberta poses as Celene to earn money, but she soon finds herself in over her head when thugs burst into a client's apartment, searching for stolen cash.
