Tricia Helfer is a Canadian model-turned-actress who has transitioned from the catwalk to a successful acting career. She is best known for her lead role as Cylon 'Number Six' in the critically acclaimed Syfy series Battlestar Galactica.
Born in Donalda, Alberta, Canada, Helfer started her modeling career at 17 and became an international superstar after winning the Ford Models' Supermodel of the World Contest in 1992. She has appeared in high-end ad campaigns and national publications.
In 2002, Helfer began her acting career, earning a guest star spot on C.S.I.: Crime Scene Investigation. She then landed her breakthrough role as 'Number Six' in Battlestar Galactica. During her hiatus, she portrayed Farrah Fawcett in NBC's film Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Charlie's Angels.
