A traveling horse circus arrives at Gut Kaltenbach, seeking refuge from a violent summer storm. Ari discovers a passion for horse riding, but is also moved by the challenges faced by the horses in the circus. She decides to help an old show horse named Hurricane, with the help of Carlo and Whisper, but their plan is put in jeopardy when the fanatical ringmaster reveals his intentions. Just as things take a turn for the worse, Mika returns from Canada.
