Two wealthy men, one a good person and the other a sinful Publican, respond to Jesus in different ways. The Publican, Zacchaeus, is a Chief Publican of Jericho who gains wealth by cheating others. He initially prioritizes his wealth over meeting Jesus, but after witnessing Jesus' healing of Bartimaeus and experiencing his own faith, Zacchaeus decides to give half of his wealth to the poor and repay those he has cheated. Jesus tells Zacchaeus that today salvation has come to his house and that he should lay up treasures in heaven rather than on earth.
