Boston Blackie and his friend, The Runt, are heading to Florida when a telegram from friend Arthur Manleder interrupts their plans. Manleder asks Blackie to retrieve $60,000 from a safe and fly to Hollywood. However, Police Inspector Farraday and his assistant, Sergeant Matthews, arrive at the safe, accuse Blackie of robbery, and let him escape to follow him. In Hollywood, Blackie learns that Manleder's new love interest, Gloria Lane, is involved with a gang that stole the Monterey Diamond.
