A deadly outlaw flees a vengeful rancher and his gang, who seek revenge for killing his son. He teams up with a former Confederate soldier, who knows the location of a hidden treasure. However, their quest is complicated by the pursuit of Union soldiers, and later, Spanish soldiers. The adventure culminates in a Mexican town plagued by soldiers, led by a compassionate priest who also holds the key to the treasure.
