Dr. Alexander Brown, a renowned medical inventor, arrives in Las Vegas to accept an award. However, his visit is disrupted by an ex-G.I. who reveals that Brown was a test subject in the 1950s, exposed to atomic bomb radiation in the Nevada desert. Brown, a young psychiatrist at the time, was a guest of the U.S. Army, where soldiers were subjected to excessive radiation. The film intercuts between Brown's past and present, as he is forced to confront the traumatic events he witnessed decades earlier and decide whether to speak out about the atrocities he saw.
