The Ewok village is invaded by the Marauders, led by King Terak and the witch Charal, resulting in the tragic loss of Cindel's family. Cindel and Wicket manage to escape and find refuge in a forest, where they befriend Teek, a quick and mischievous creature. Teek leads them to the home of Noa, an elderly man who also crash-landed on Endor with his Star Cruiser. Together, they join forces to take down Terak and Charal.

A group of marauders raid an Ewok village, making off with a powerful artifact they believe to be magical. As the Ewoks struggle to recover from the attack, Wicket befriends a young girl named Cindel and a reclusive hermit who may hold the key to saving their village from further destruction.
