In the summer of 1983, a Canada World Airways Boeing 767 takes off from Montreal bound for Edmonton, but disaster strikes when the plane unexpectedly runs out of fuel at cruising altitude. The miscalculation by ground staff in Montreal sets the stage for a catastrophic event as Captain Bob Pearson and First Officer Maurice Quintal fight to save the lives of the 60 passengers on board.
