Blue Schuyler, a swimming pool cleaner, finds a young woman, Tara, floating lifeless in a Bel Air pool. He saves her and they form a connection. Tara is unhappy in her marriage to powerful lobbyist Harris Alexander and decides to leave him. Harris sends his henchmen to convince her to return, but she chooses to stay with Blue. They go on the run, but Harris has drugs planted in Tara's purse, leading to her arrest. Blue helps her escape and they flee together.
