Luc Segers' life is turned upside down when his wife and daughter are brutally murdered, and he is left for dead. He survives and identifies the killer, but the system fails him, and the perpetrator is released due to a procedural error. Consumed by grief and anger, Luc takes the law into his own hands, tracking down and killing the killer. He is arrested and put on trial, where he faces off against the Attorney General, who is determined to convict him. Despite the risks, Luc chooses a risky strategy, which could lead to acquittal, but also a life sentence. Ultimately, he is acquitted, but his freedom comes at a great cost, as he is haunted by his memories and guilt.
