A man who writes greeting cards for a living has hated Christmas since his public humiliation by his ex-girlfriend. His neighbor, the former CEO of his greeting-card company, takes pleasure in tormenting him. One day, Karroll is visited by the ghosts of Christmas, who had intended to visit his neighbor, and through this experience, Karroll learns about himself and his neighbor, discovers their commonalities, and decides to help his neighbor rediscover the joy of Christmas.
