Jeff, a charismatic press agent, runs an exclusive club where the wealthy and influential gather, all expenses paid, until they require his services, at which point he exacts a hefty price. With his reputation, connections, and stunning ex-wife, Jeff's life is filled with power and prestige. However, everything shifts when he rescues Minnie from a river and transforms her into the stunning Mona Martine, showering her with lavish attention and a new identity. Despite his romantic feelings for Mona, she remains uninterested. Yet, when Mona finds herself entangled in a murder plot, she turns to Jeff for his expertise to extricate her from the situation.
