A group of friends, led by aspiring filmmaker Tom Murphy, try to make it big in Hollywood by producing their first feature film. When Tom's famous girlfriend leaves him, they concoct a plan to steal a shipment of government-issued marijuana and return it to the FBI to collect the reward, which they hope to use to fund their movie. However, their scheme is complicated by a scorned ex-girlfriend and her deaf-mute brother, who have their own agenda.
