Two best friends, a former pianist and cellist, Ellie and Leo, have drifted apart after moving to different parts of the country. Ellie, a Julliard-trained musician, has struggled to find her place after a professional setback, and is now an event planner at an upscale hotel. Leo, on the other hand, has become a successful author, but is currently experiencing writer's block. They decide to switch homes for two weeks to try and find inspiration. However, their plan is complicated by promises they make to each other's friends, which lead to unexpected romantic connections.
