Venkateswarlu, known as Venky, moves in with his friend Murthy's family, where he meets Murthy's daughter Nandini, or Nandu. Initially, Venky and Nandu clash, but they eventually become close friends. Nandu confesses her love for Venky, but he decides to leave to avoid hurting the family's relationships. After Murthy convinces him to return, Nandu stops speaking to him.
