A professor's vision to educate African youth is thwarted by his unruly students, but when the base commander succumbs to malaria, the professor seizes the opportunity to take charge, teaming up with the boat's crew to navigate the crisis.

A British professor embarks on a journey up an African river to establish schools, only to find his students uncooperative. When the local base commander falls ill with malaria, the professor assumes his responsibilities and, with the help of the boat's crew, begins collecting taxes from the villagers.
