Pretty Village, Pretty Flame background

Pretty Village, Pretty Flame

Two childhood friends are torn apart by the brutal war in Bosnia, with one serving as a soldier and grappling with the harsh realities of conflict, while the other fights to survive as a civilian.

Casualties of the Bosnian civil war are treated at a Belgrade army hospital, where they reminisce about their youth and the war. Two childhood friends, Halil, a Muslim, and Milan, a Serb, grew up together near a deserted tunnel connecting Belgrade and Zagreb, but never dared to enter, fearing an ogre lived inside. Twelve years later, during the war, Milan, trapped in the tunnel with his troop, and Halil, find themselves on opposite sides, destined for a fateful confrontation.
