In 1866 Indiana, a notorious gang, the Reno brothers, has taken over the town of Seymour, bribing local officials to turn a blind eye. To take them down, James Barlow, a detective from the Peterson Agency, goes undercover as an outlaw to win the trust of the officials and the Reno brothers themselves. Complicating matters is Barlow's growing feelings for Laura, the Reno sisters, who is torn between her loyalty to her family and her own desires. As Barlow sets a trap for the gang, tensions escalate and violence erupts in a dramatic dawn train robbery.
