The sequel to "The Blue Lagoon" follows Paddy, the sole survivor of the original characters, who is taken in by a widow named Sarah and her infant daughter Lilli. After a series of challenges, including a cholera outbreak and a violent crew member, Sarah guides them back to the island where Paddy's parents died. Sarah teaches the children survival skills and eventually dies, leaving them prepared for adulthood. The film jumps forward in time, showing the teenagers' developing relationship and their decision to stay on the island when a ship stops by, despite the captain's daughter's attempts to persuade them to return to civilization.
