The life of a celebrated individual takes a dramatic turn after receiving an ALS diagnosis, leading them to grapple with the unforgiving truth of their new reality and search for a more meaningful existence.

A successful psychologist, Emily Bauer, is diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, and her life is turned upside down. Despite initial determination, her condition worsens, leaving her in a vegetative state. She implores her husband to assist her in ending her life.
