A Japanese horror movie follows Reiko Asakawa as she researches a cursed videotape, only to discover that it's connected to the sudden deaths of her niece and her friends. Her investigation leads her to a mysterious videotape, which she watches to her horror, and she soon realizes that her son has also seen it. As they dig deeper, they uncover a connection to a psychic who died 30 years ago and her child, Sadako, leading them to a volcanic island.
