A group of teenagers, including scouts Ben and Carter, accidentally unleash a zombie from a laboratory while on a camping trip. After hitting a deer and getting a flat tire, they meet Kendall and her friends at a party, but soon discover the town is overrun with zombies. They team up with Denise, a bartender, and Augie, who was left behind at the camp, to rescue Kendall and find a way to survive as the government prepares to bomb the town.
