A woman, Maureen, is pregnant and struggling to cope with her missing husband, Eddie. When a neighbor, Kiefer, takes advantage of her vulnerability, Eddie returns home to find his wife battered and bruised. In a fit of rage, he lashes out and is subsequently institutionalized. Years later, Eddie is released and discovers that Maureen has moved on, remarrying and having three children, including their own daughter, Jeanie. Eddie sets out to reclaim his family and his wife.
